Oracle to enter the overcrowded map market

Phone maker Nokia said on Monday it has signed a deal that will give Oracle Corp.'s customers access to its mapping services.

Why there is so much interest in this one particular sector? Maps are probably the most natural way how to access information services. And indeed, there is still room to make computing even simpler and even more user friendly. This is why Oracle feels its chances here.
